Maps and geographical representations have always been a fundamental means of orientation for human beings.
Since ancient times, people have felt the need to draw maps of the territories in which they lived or traveled.

Interest in this activity derives from commercial purposes, wars, conquests, discoveries and, in more recent times, from tourism.

Our beautiful ancient map puzzles tell us what an area or a country looked like in the past, and this also sparks our curiosity.

Without going very far, it would be enough to place a map of Europe from just 100 years ago next to later ones from decade to decade. We would not find a single one identical to another.
