Our monthly giveaway thanks contributors: each month we choose a winner from approved comments and reviews on our puzzles. Reviews do not have to be positive; we welcome honest opinions.

How to review a puzzle and enter the giveaway

Find a puzzle in our catalogue using the menu, categories or search.
Open its product page to see the details.
Go to the reviews section to read others’ opinions and add yours.
Enter your name and email; registration is not required. We use the email to contact you if you win.
Choose a rating from 1 to 5 stars and write your review.
Submit your review using the form’s submit button. Its date and time are recorded; after approval, it enters the relevant monthly draw.

Will my review appear immediately?

We check comments and reviews manually before publication to exclude offensive or inappropriate content. Approved reviews are published and entered in the giveaway.

Which reviews enter the draw?

Reviews and comments approved and published during the month enter that month’s list.

Can I enter more than once?

Each published review is an entry. You may submit up to five reviews per month; each must contain at least 100 characters and offer useful, relevant contributions.

Is a purchase required?

No purchase is required. You may comment on a puzzle you have not bought. Share honest impressions, opinions and advice that help other puzzle enthusiasts.

How is the winner selected?

We apply the published selection algorithm below using public SuperEnalotto SuperStar numbers, so the calculation can be checked.

Each month we announce the prize.
Approved reviews published during that month enter the draw.
At the start of the following month, we publish the participating reviews and the draw dates used.
We apply the algorithm and announce the winner.

What can I win?

The monthly prize may be a puzzle, an illustration or a puzzle accessory selected from our catalogue. Find the announced prize and the story behind it in the monthly giveaway section.

The selection algorithm

On the first working day of the new month, Puzzle Arte publishes the previous month’s eligible reviews in ascending order of publication date, together with the SuperEnalotto draw dates to be used. Check the announced official draw calendar rather than assuming fixed weekly days. The SuperStar number is drawn from 1 to 90.

Up to 90 eligible reviews

Let n be the number of eligible reviews, t the announced draw’s SuperStar number and x the winning review’s position. Calculate x = ceil(n × t / 90), rounding up to the next whole number.

For example, with n = 17 and t = 7, 17 × 7 / 90 = 1.322…, so review number 2 wins.

More than 90 eligible reviews

First calculate Δ = n / 90, z = n × t / 90 and y = z − Δ. Use the SuperStar number t₂ from the next announced draw to calculate v = Δ × t₂ / 90. The winning position is x = ceil(y + v).

With n = 140, t = 7 and t₂ = 16: Δ = 1.555…, z = 10.888…, y = 9.333… and v = 0.276…. Therefore x = ceil(9.609…) = 10. Keep full precision until the final rounding.

If Δ is greater than 90, the published procedure repeats the subdivision using further announced draw numbers. The public entry list and announced draw dates identify the inputs to each monthly calculation.
