This technical means, which allows the representation of illusory space in drawing, together with other expressive tools, served to achieve realism in the figurative arts.
Another relevant factor is the study of the human body, carried out both through the careful observation of classical statues and through study from life.

In the field of architecture, the creators trained themselves by carefully observing the ruins of ancient Roman monuments, drawing their details and studying their proportions. Their aim was not only to imitate classical forms, but also to discover the laws of harmony on which they could base their art.

Antiquity, therefore, was reinterpreted according to the vision of each artist, their sensitivity and creative genius, giving rise to new works that, while inspired by the past, introduced technical and stylistic innovations. This dialogue between tradition and innovation led to the birth of iconic buildings, destined to become the very symbol of the Renaissance.
