• National Gallery of Scotland

    The National Gallery of Scotland in Edinburgh is located right in the historic city center and set among the beautiful gardens of Princess Street.

    This museum displays some of the greatest works of art in the world, including, among others, masterpieces by Botticelli, Raphael, Titian, Carracci, Rembrandt, Vermeer, El Greco, Velazquez, Turner.

    There are also rooms dedicated to the French Impressionists, the Dutch Golden Age painters and Leonardo as well as many Scottish artists such as William Dyce.

    Finally, to inform and inspire the widest possible audience, the museum continuously creates a lively and innovative program consisting of activities, exhibitions, educational events and publications.

    The National Gallery of Scotland is the most important art gallery in Scotland located in Edinburgh. The building that houses the gallery is a neoclassical structure dating back to 1858, the year in which the museum and gallery were inaugurated.

    Its rooms host wonderful paintings from the history of Italian Renaissance art.
    Recently, the museum also exhibits Impressionist and Post-Impressionist paintings by Vincent van Gogh, Claude Monet, Gauguin.
